A Hotel With a Bed as Comfortable as Your Own - It CAN be Done

After owning and sleeping on many beds during my lifetime, I currently have one that gives me the ultimate night's sleep, but THAT is not something I ever get in a hotel.

Ibis set themselves the challenge of designing the ultimate bed.  Because sleep is sweet, they named it the Sweet Bed.  It is indeed.

To ensure that knowledge of this bed went viral, they set the ultimate challenge for the ultimate bed that achieves the ultimate sleep.  GET that bed to a difficult destination, transported by dare-devils themselves and then ask that they sleep in a place that only the Devil himself can.

I had the privilege of watching the film that resulted, during a press evening at The Ibis Euston (which is lush by the way).  It was a glamorous affair and an evening I very much enjoyed.

We also had a great Q&A with them afterwards (where I asked far too many questions) and got lots of photo ops, which luckily were IN the sweet bed itself!

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did.  They are so confident that you will love your night's sleep at the Ibis, they even give you the opportunity to BUY A SWEET BED - if you also want ultimate comfort in your own home!

Prior to now, my only experience of Ibis had been a night in a very budget (affordable) London hotel (booked by work for the night of a work Xmas party. It was cheap, functional and spotless and we didn't spend long in our rooms anyhow.  The lush Euston one took me quite by surprise but it is because they have 3 grades of hotel:

• Ibis
• Ibis Styles
• Ibis Budget

This was how Euston looked on my way to the Ibis on the evening of 22nd January 2014 when I arrived. Very vibrant.

I couldn't wait to get inside.

P.S. I have spent 2014 so far with a head scarf on most days, but that particular day I decided to put some slap on and straighten my hair - a rare event indeed.  I was SO glad I did, when I arrived and saw how wonderful everyone looked.  A "thank God I scrubbed up" thought in the loos led to me taking this shameless selfie :-)
