Life is for the Living

Prose for Thought

Life is for the living
Death will soon enough come

Life is for the living
Not a time to feel glum

Life is for the living
I needed a little nudge

Life is for the living
It's not something you can fudge

Life is for the living
A time to feel alive

Life is for the living
We've really got to thrive

Life is for the living
It's best done with our full heart

Life is for the living
So let's all make a start

Life is for the living
Children need us at our best

Life is for the living
Night's the time to rest

Life is for the living
I have said my piece today

Life is for the living
Let the nonsense go away

Life is for the living
Something we all need to consider

Life is for the living
Let's decide what to get ridder

Life is for the living
There are diamonds in the rough

Life is for the living
Let's find 'em when it's tough

Life is for the living
It's true it's what you make it

Life is for the living
Let's nurse it and not break it

I had a good old moan yesterday. Yes it was ME.  I moaned that I wasn't a Britax Mumbassador, that I wasn't invited (nor welcome) to the Drayton Manor screening of the new Thomas film.  It was all a bit woe is me.  But the thing is, both had limited numbers and there are about 6k active Mummy Bloggers, so if I watch every opportunity that passes me by, I will be one unhappy lady, so the above poem was written after getting a nudge from reading Victoria's rather apt post, and mainly because that was yesterday I felt like that, and today, after all, is a new day.

  4. Oh bless you, I never meant to direct my post at anyone in particular!! Just lots of different people and, if I'm honest, I didn't realise you had been moaning!! Great poem from you though and I am so glad I inspired you. Thank you so much for linking to Prose for Thought xx
