Now that the redundancy money is all gone, and it's been a looooong time since I was eligible for job seekers allowance, I now survive on a VERY small amount of money...
fru·gal
/ˈfro͞ogəl/
Adjective
- Sparing or economical with regard to money or food.
- Simple and plain and costing little: "a frugal meal".
Synonyms
thrifty - economical - sparing - parsimonious - saving
I find little ways to be able to afford things though. These are just a FEW examples:
I used to get the market leader brand of cappuccino sachets but hey they are two pounds fifty and the above are only 79p. I cannot remember where I got them but I THINK it was Savers. Rewind actually! I originally used to get my cappuccinos outside, at about two pound fifty a pop.
The bottled one, at 85p... I get 1-2 of those in Lidl each time we go to the park. They refresh me as they are chilled and also give me a caffeine boost.
Oh and the Cherry Vimto lollies (home freeze) are from the 99p store. They are a box of 5 and yummy. I got them when I was in there getting water pistols - I know I know I know, I never thought I'd see the day that Aaron would have a gun in his hand either :-(
The trackie bottoms Aaron is wearing... well they were trackie bottoms when he was a baby - they are now making do as shorts - LOL!
My bargain of the week though has to be this toilet roll:
What have you saved money on?
Regular readers will know that I got a pedicure with a Xmas voucher that was about to expire a few weeks ago. Well look at the state of my toes in the above photo.
Can't afford to get another pedicure. Guess I will have to get my arse in gear and do them myself.
Bye for now, Liska
xx
