After Aaron having been very ill with a high temperature, ear infection and eye infection he has now made a full recovery and making up for the days missed by being on double speed. He's had me run ragged.
But, I did get a day out yesterday. And WHAT a day out it was! I left Aaron with Grandma and ran for the hills (oh and a bus which I missed - doh)! They had a very good day - #phew!
A group of us bloggers met up for chocolate, in an amazing place called Choccy Woccy Doo Dah, and they have a *secret room* which Mummy Barrow booked for all of us.
What with her booking places called the Secret Room AND being involved in a thing called The Secret Thing #SecretThing, it's all getting a bit Sssshhhhh around here in these e're blogging parts.
Oh it was ace, and this was how the room looked before we arrived like a bunch of locusts ;-)
After being in the above Secret Room for 2 hours we went to pub for FIVE hours, where I got to talk lots, to lots of WONDERFUL bloggers, but I think I will do a whole separate post about that, because it deserves some TIME and right this moment I am MEANT to be job hunting.
And just to prove that my gorgeous Aaron is totally recovered, here he is looking all radiant like, and this was a few days ago when he was ONLY JUST better.
It is the photo I would have used for Silent Sunday IF I had got my arse out of bed earlier this morning.

i've heard of that place. I remember seeing it in a magazine as there is a store in brighton (my home town which i miss so much - big sigh!). sounds like an amazing day. So glad aaron is feeling better. xxx
ReplyDelete21 of us bloggers went - we had a riot :-)
DeleteYes, I have heard about the Brighton one - but only on Saturday - I seem to be late to the party ...
Like for example I did not know there was a TV show and apparently the one starting in March is the FOURTH series.
I know! Where have I been ;-)

Sounds like the perfect me-day. I'm glad Aaron is up and running again. Have a good week. xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you, you too. What with the pub after it really was a ME day.

Was the perfect day - swiftly followed by a not so perfect one, but hey, it was all self-inflicted ;)
ReplyDeleteeeek you had a hangover?
DeleteNot surprised with the amount of champers you put away ;-)
WAS WONDERFUL to spend so long chatting to you and get to know you better.

Sounds brill. Can't help feeling a tad envious!
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean, I would too.
DeleteDefinitely the ultimate girls' day out.
Although we hired the secret room at £25 a head, you can go to the cafe on the floor below, if you're ever in London.
It is a DIVINE place and experience.

This event certainly sounded quite amazing. Glad you had a good time :) I'm even more glad that your little Aaron is all better xxx
ReplyDeleteit was every kind of amazing and even more so that we paid and wanted to be there. No PR involved.
DeleteYes great to have Aaron better although as I type this he is kicking the back of my head as he climbs over the back of the sofa :-(

Fantastic day, was so pleased to be able to wave at you...sorry we never got to chat, next time and I will go to the pub, I was stupid not to and regretted it :(... Glad little man is on the mend xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, we were so excited when you strolled into the pub - you got a round of applause and everything but I can understand why you wanted to see London when you'd travelled so far.
DeleteHope to meet you again.
I also wrote on my other blog about the day and it includes a poem ;-0
