I used to know it all, but now I want it all. I want weight loss.
I am refreshing my knowledge of all the things I used to know.
I blogged about it on my old blog, but then a couple of months later was pregnant and it was all forgotten.
For the last few months I have drunk hardly any water, and in correlation, which was probably ALSO a causation... I have gained in weight.... 7 kg!
I have most of Dr. Robert Young's books, so should know full well about the benefits of drinking water.
A tip for anyone reading this. You have to drink more water the heavier you are.
Just to give you an idea.... I am 95kg which is 209.5 pounds, which means I need to drink 7 litres of water a day.
Yes that is SEVEN......... no wonder my body is not liking the fact that I am drinking hardly any at the moment.
I literally wake at 3 or 4 a.m. with a dehydration headache, and morning urine is DARK! (sorry TMI)...
This is an extract from The PH Miracle for Weight Loss (page 71 of the hardback variety):
- Drink at least 1 litre of good water each day for every 30 pounds of body weight.
- Drink 1 litre of good water when you first get up in the morning. This helps to flush out your kidneys, bladder, and bowels as well as rehydrates and energizes or charges your body with extra electrons.
- Drink 1 16 oz glass every hour, or 1 litre every 2 hours.
- Drink most of your water BETWEEN meals.
- Drink at habitual times throughout the day; don't wait until you feel thirsty or hungry (that's the mistake we all make!).
- Drink an extra litre of water for each hour of exercise.
- Drink your water warm to ease congestion or constipation.
- Drink 16 oz at the end of each day.
Dr Robert Young talks a lot of sense and has a great blog if you want to have a look.
