Snappy Snaps Review Part I

Hi

We are doing a review for Snappy Snaps and for the pleasure, will be given a 12'' by 12'' canvas of Aaron.

I went there yesterday, in person, to the Tottenham Court Road (Charlotte Street) branch and the service was second to none.

The only professional photos I have, are the Bounty ones (too old), the Pixi Foto ones (too old) and the passport one (too old) so I had to submit an amateur one, taken by yours truly but I love it.

This is what I have given them, but they are going to alter the background (take away saucepans etc...) and take the sheen off his forehead (bless him) and they will let me "proof" the final image before it hits the canvas.

I had LOTS of choices to make... matt, soft sheen, or gloss.  Picture wrapping on the edge of the canvas or not.  Deep-pan or thin (is this a pizza?).  It felt very tailored and I enjoyed talking through it.

I will write more as the process goes on, and obviously post the finished product on here - if a photo of a photo works - but I am very very impressed so far.

Yesterday I dealt with the Franchise Owner and she couldn't have been nicer.  I saw her serving people before I introduced myself and she's definitely perfect to be working in the service industry.  Every customer was given tailor made "above and beyond" service.  Lovely atmosphere and beautifully merchandised store.

  1. This is one cute pic. It will look lovely when finished I am sure. I have professional photos of my youngest taken when he was only 2months old. Unfortunately I spent rather too much money as I found I couldnt say no to all the lovely pics they had taken. I had originally only gone in because I was told there was a special deal. I never did tell my OH exactly how much I spent. Hehe.
P.s I love reading your blog and thanks for your comments.

  2. Aww what a cute pic! I've never had Elle's pictures taken professionally! I just never get round to it, and I've got loads of pics of her anyway. Maybe I should get one put on a canvas!
